Artist of the Month: Ariel Lin
Ariel Lin was born October 29, 1982. She was first discovered on a Taiwanese variety show Guess, Guess, Guess. The show features two segments "The Truth Can Not Be Faked" and "Do Not Judge a Book by It's Cover", where 5 people compete for a title. Celebrities are asked to guess which one will be the winner, while "experts" pick the winner. Ariel won the Pretty Subway Girl contest.

Ariel Lin acted in a few dramas and some forget-able movies from 2002 to 2004 with decent success, but usually had supporting roles. It wasn't until Love Contract that she would have a leading role. She acted along side Mike He as a stubborn tomboy. The romance drama was enough to land her next big role.

In 2005 she starred in the wildly popular show It Started with a Kiss. The story was an adaption of a Japanese comic named Itazura na Kiss. The show was so popular that she did a second season in 2007 with They Kiss Again.

The next year she starred in next to Hu Ge in Tian Wai Fei Xian or Fairy from Wonderland, being her first wuxia styled drama. The same year she starred in another manga adapted drama named Tokyo Juilet, which was originally suppose to be acted by Angela Zhang.

Currently two of her dramas are airing, Legend of the Condor Heroes, which had been long post-poned due to a car accident with Hu Ge. The drama is a classic story that is being remade. It had been made various times in the past. She also is signed for a drama called Love or Bread with Joe Cheng, though little information is released about the series.

Ariel Lin? Singer?
Like most Taiwan and Chinese artists, Ariel has given a few dips into the singing profession, singing various songs for TV series. She first sang in My Secret Garden II as an insert song. She was later bumped up to ending theme for her first starring role, in Love Contract. She sang the opening songs for They Kiss Again and Tokyo Juliet. She has not released an album, and only been released on OST/Theme Song CDs.
