Tanabata is also known as Evening of the Seventh and Japanese Star Festival. It celebrates the meeting of Orihime and Hikoboshi. The Milky Wave served as a river of stars, separating the two lovers. Once a year they were allowed to meen, the 7th day of the lunar month.
